This service provides professional proofreading and light editing for tender responses, focusing on clarity, tone and presentation without changing the underlying content. You can choose between proofreading only or proofreading + trimming to a word limit. It’s ideal when you already have a draft but want it to read clearly, confidently and professionally.

📦 Word-Count Packages & Prices
Select the package that matches the total word count of the answer(s) you’d like reviewed. You can then choose either Proofreading only or Proofread + Trim to Word Limit as a variant when you check out.

*The “Proofread + Trim to Limit” option includes editing down to a hard word limit where needed, for drafts up to 20% over the band you choose (e.g. up to 600 words for the 500-word band, 1,200 words for the 1,000-word band).
If you have multiple answers at different lengths, simply add each package you need to cart separately (e.g. one “Up to 500 words” + one “Up to 1,000 words”).
✂️ Editing Down to a Word Limit (20% Max Over)
If you select the Proofread + Trim to Word Limit option, I will:
- Edit for clarity and flow as normal, and
- Condense the answer to your specified word limit, while preserving the core messages and evidence.
This trimming add-on covers drafts that are up to 20% above the purchased band (e.g. up to 600 words for the 500-word band, 900 for the 750-word band, 1,200 for the 1,000-word band, and 1,800 for the 1,500-word band). If your draft is more than 20% over, please either:
- choose the next word-count band, or
- email me for a custom quote if you’re significantly over and need substantial restructuring.

- Consistency of tense, person and basic terminology.
- Comments if anything is unclear or appears inconsistent.
- If selected: trimming to meet your target word limit (within the 20% tolerance), with priorities agreed based on evaluation criteria.

- Full compliance checks against the ITT or specification.
- Gap analysis, scoring review or challenge of your proposed model.
- Complete restructuring of the answer or writing it from scratch.

📂 How It Works
- Select the word-count package that matches your draft answer(s), and choose either Proofreading only or Proofread + Trim to Word Limit.
- Complete checkout using your preferred payment method.

Reply to your order confirmation email with:
- your draft answer(s) in Word format,
- the buyer / opportunity name and submission deadline, and
- if you chose trimming: the exact word limit for each answer and an approximate current word count.
- I’ll confirm receipt, ask any quick clarification questions, and then complete the work.
- You’ll receive a tracked-changes version plus a clean copy ready to paste into your portal.
⏱ Typical Turnaround
Turnaround is usually:
- Up to 500–750 words: 1 working day
- Up to 1,000–1,500 words: 1–2 working days
If your deadline is very tight, please mention this when you send your draft – I’ll always let you know honestly whether it’s realistic.
