Want to spot tender risks early – before you spend time writing full answers?
The Pre-Tender Readiness Audit (Bid Red-Flag Check) gives you a clear, independent view of how prepared your organisation is for upcoming NHS and local authority tenders. You’ll get a structured RAG review, red-flag summary and practical action plan so you can fix gaps before quality questions and compliance checks go live.
🧭 What This Audit Covers
- Organisational readiness – governance, CQC position, registrations and basic compliance.
- Bid infrastructure – policies, procedures, templates and evidence available for tenders.
- Service model & capacity – where your current model aligns (or clashes) with common tender expectations.
- Evidence & outcomes – what you can already prove, and where you need better data or case studies.
- Risks, red-flags & barriers – anything that would realistically hold you back in a live procurement.
The audit is designed specifically for social care, NHS-commissioned and local authority providers rather than generic business checks.
📦 Service Levels & Prices
Choose the level of support that best fits what you need right now:
| Option | What’s Included | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Red-Flag Check Only (Base) | Full desk-based audit and written report (see below) highlighting strengths, gaps and key risks ahead of upcoming tenders. | £75 |
| Audit + 15-Minute Debrief Call | Everything in the Red-Flag Check plus a short MS Teams / Zoom call to walk through the headlines, clarify recommendations and agree immediate next steps. | £100 |
| Audit + Debrief Call + Clarification Pack | Everything in the previous options plus a concise Clarification Pack – drafted clarification questions you can submit to buyers to reduce risk, clarify scope, and test key concerns identified in the audit. | £130 |
If you have more than one service, division or geography to audit, simply increase the quantity at checkout and I’ll treat each as a separate mini-audit.
📄 What You Receive
-
A 2–3 page written report (PDF or Word) summarising:
- overall readiness for the next 6–12 months of tenders
- RAG rating and red-flag summary across key domains (governance, quality, evidence, bid infrastructure etc.)
- headline strengths and immediate risks
- A simple prioritised action plan – what to fix now, what to build over the next few months, and what can wait.
- If selected, a 15-minute debrief call to walk through findings and next steps.
- If selected, a short Clarification Pack with drafted clarification questions to send to buyers when a relevant tender is released.
✅ Who It’s For
- Providers who know tenders are coming but aren’t sure what commissioners will expect.
- SMEs without an in-house bid function who want an expert “red-flag check” before the next opportunity.
- Organisations that have been close but unsuccessful in recent tenders and want to understand why.
- New or growing providers entering a new geography or service line.
📦 What’s Included (and Not Included)

- Written summary of strengths, gaps and risks.
- Practical, tender-focused recommendations you can implement internally.
- Optional debrief call and clarification pack if selected at checkout.
Not Included
- Full bid writing or question-by-question drafting.
- Detailed pricing or commercial modelling.
- Legal advice or detailed contract review.
If you need deeper support, services such as 48-Hour Tender Triage, Score Booster or Tender Readiness Pack may be more appropriate.
⏱ Process & Turnaround
- Choose your service level and complete checkout. If you have more than one service / division to audit, set the quantity to match the number of audits required.
- After checkout you’ll receive an email with a link to a short onboarding form. This lets you share basic details, relevant documents and (optionally) upload files via secure Dropbox (no Dropbox account required).
- Once I have your completed onboarding form and documents, I’ll carry out the audit and send your written report within 5–7 working days (along with any debrief / clarification outputs if selected).
If you have a specific tender or timeframe in mind, mention this in the onboarding form so the recommendations can be tailored.
🔒 Confidentiality
All information shared for this audit is treated as strictly confidential and used only for the purposes of this review. If you prefer, you can put a Mutual NDA in place before sending any documents.
💡 How This Links to Other Support
Many clients use the Pre-Tender Readiness Audit as a starting point and then move into:
- Tender Readiness Pack – to build or refresh key documents and evidence.
- 48-Hour Tender Triage – once a specific opportunity is released.
- Score Booster or Tender Proofreading – to strengthen individual responses.
The benefit is that I already understand your organisation, so later support is faster, more focused and better aligned to your strategy.
