πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡¬ Singapore Ageing, Long-Term Care & Community Support Knowledge Hub

International Navigation

Singapore is internationally recognised for its long-term approach to healthy ageing, integrated care and community support. Its policies combine preventive healthcare, community services, family support, long-term care planning and technological innovation. The first collection within this Knowledge Hub explores Singapore Ageing, Long-Term Care & Community Support, with additional specialist collections being introduced as the library expands.

Although Singapore has distinctive funding arrangements, policy structures and models of care, many of the challenges it addresses are shared internationally. These include supporting people to remain independent, reducing avoidable hospital admissions, integrating health and community services, strengthening family carer support, sustaining the workforce and using technology and data more effectively. Singapore therefore offers valuable learning for providers, commissioners, government agencies, researchers, policymakers and system leaders across different countries.

This Knowledge Hub has been created to examine Singapore's approach to population ageing, healthy longevity, home and community care, residential provision, integrated services, workforce development, financing, digital transformation, quality improvement and system reform. It forms part of the interconnected international knowledge library across Impact Guru and Impact Insights Hub, supporting comparison between care systems and the practical application of international learning.

As the collection develops, articles will explore active ageing, preventive care, intermediate and long-term care, hospital-to-community pathways, family carers, workforce capability, assistive technology, artificial intelligence, governance, population health and future sustainability. The aim is to build a practical, evidence-informed resource that explains how policy, funding, service delivery and innovation interact to improve outcomes for older people and communities.
